National Field Day Results

The results from the 2010 Australian National Field Days Pasture and Feedlot Trials were that DSK once again had the top scoring pen of carcases with a pen of 100% Charolais milk tooth steers weighing an average of 391kg dressed for 3 steers with an average full weight dressing percentage of 56.5%, Rump Fat of 14.6mm and Rib Fat of 7.6mm.

Average EMA measurements for the pen was 108.6 sq/cm with the highest being 117 sq/cm. Saleable meat yields were the highest scoring in class 2 heavy steers. All steers were by sires featured in the 2010 DSK bull sale.  The Angus team featured the only carcase in the competition to score an ausmeat marbling score of 2 and was the highest MSA Eating Quality score in the competition. This steer was sired by DSK HR Xtra X1 who also has sons in the 2010 DSK bull sale.
